GigaTrust Tip - Setting a Time Limit

Using GigaTrust you can specify a date for protected content to expire. After the defined date, users will not be able to access the protected information. As the author, you retain perpetual access to the information.

The expiration option is available in the following:

GigaTrust Toolbar
Advanced Email Protection window
GigaTrust Policy Templates
GigaTrust File Protection window

You can enter a date directly or use the drop-down calendar to select a date, or in some cases, select a span of time such as '1 month'.

Set Expiration - GigaTrust Toolbar
On the GigaTrust toolbar, enter the date in the Expiration field or choose the date on the drop-down calendar.

Use this feature to:

Prevent users from opening outdated documents.
Limit exposure to help comply with SOX and HIPAA regulations.
Provide 'limited trials' for valuable content.
